Panorama Meats Announces New Executive Posts (1/12/2010)

From Cattle Trader Center

Panorama Meats, the nation’s largest producer of organic grass-fed beef, based in Vina, Calif., has promoted Lori Carrion to Chief Operating Officer and Wayne Langston to Vice President, Production.

Previously Panorama’s Vice President, Sales, Carrion will manage the sales, distribution, quality assurance and production departments at Panorama. She also monitors company compliance with the USDA National Organic Program. Prior to joining Panorama, Carrion worked for a nongovernmental organization administering Federal Crop Insurance Programs under the Risk Management Agency of the USDA.
In his expanded role, longtime Panorama Production Manager Wayne Langston will manage the recruiting of ranchers for the Panorama Organic Grass-Fed Beef program and oversee rancher compliance with Panorama’s cattle-raising protocols. Langston is a director of the Lassen County Cattlemen’s Association and a past director of the California Shorthorn Association. Langston manages a registered Angus and Hereford cattle operation in Susanville, Calif. He has shown and judged cattle extensively throughout the U.S.

Panorama Organic Grass-Fed Beef comes from cattle raised entirely on pastures of natural grasses, legumes and range forage. Cattle are never implanted with hormones, fed animal by-products or treated with antibiotics.  All animals are raised in compliance with the Born and Raised in the USA® verification program.

Ranchers who raise Panorama cattle treat their animals humanely in low-stress environments and employ pasture-rotation and land-management practices that promote animal health and protect delicate rangeland ecosystems.  More information is available at www.panoramameats.com.
